Resurrection! Tales of Graces f Chapter 1!
It still took a long time but, finally, after a long hiatus, Eternal is back with a new release! And yes, it's a new project, Tales of Graces f! As for the hiatus, I basically lost my motivation for Manga Scanlation that was why the group fell into a hiatus. I shall not bore you with the details and just let you read the first chapter of Tales of Graces f ^^;

With that, there will be more releases coming, but I cannot guarantee a time frame for release as I have extremely limited staff and we all have real lives. However, I am not recruiting at the moment, and am only recruiting when necessary. With that, I will now cut this short. Enjoy the new release!
I am looking for a dedicated Jap->Eng Translator and Cleaner for Tales of Xillia: Side Jude! Typesetters are also welcome, but not so important as I have one that can do it right now as I don't have that many staff in the first place. However, I will not go ahead with this project unless I can secure a Translator first. Discussions on possible joints with other groups are welcome!
I am still looking for a Typesetter for Tales of the Abyss! I have a lot of scripts and cleans but no one to typeset them :(

Online Manga Reader for the group is now up! However, the reader only has projects that are not dropped uploaded, so you won't find dropped projects on the Online Reader. Enjoy!
Online Reader is here - http://reader.eternalmanga.net/
Feel free to e-mail me at eternal[at]eternalmanga[dot]net if there are any problems :X I'm not sure if this will work well or not, but I guess only time will tell and whether it can handle new release days for up to a week =__=
Also, we now have a xdcc bot at our IRC channel (#eternal@irc.irchighway.net). You can now download all the group's releases, except the Comic Anthologies and Doujinshi from there.
Lastly, Tales of Vesperia is off hiatus. It will be continued. This decision was made after I saw something that concerned one of the three new projects that were in the works. So now, that new project won't be released until this Tales of Vesperia manga has been scanlated to the last chapter.
The next post should be a new release. I can't give a time frame yet, but I guess you can keep an eye out on the group's twitter page for updates.

Resurrection in Progress
I dunno how many people read the latest tweet, but after a long *cough*hiatus*cough*, we've begun to work on stuff. What you ask? I'm kind of keeping them under wraps for now, but there are three new projects in the works. Which ones? If you know which Tales of Series got new manga serializations, you would know...I think?
When will they be released, I don't really know. The staff that have real lives too so don't expect fast releases, but rest assured, we're not doing nothing. Releases won't be super fast, but they will come. As for the other projects, they will come too. Just be patient since the group don't exactly have a lot of staff that are able to do things to my standards...
Though the real main purpose of this post is to announce a few things in regards to some of the projects, although some of them might have been mentioned in the group's twitter page.
We now have a xdcc bot at our IRC channel (#eternal@irc.irchighway.net). You can now download all the group's releases from there.
Tales of the Abyss: Senketsu no Asch (Asch the Bloody) will be dropped as it's been licensed in English in the US. Please buy the volume when it's released! There are online shops where you can get them for decent prices.
Tales of the Abyss: Tsuioku no Jade won't be scanlated anymore. Same reason as Senketsu no Asch, it's been licensed in English in the US. Please buy the volume when it's released! There are online shops where you can get them for decent prices.
Tales of Phantasia will be dropped as there is a lack of interest and staff for it. Another reason is that it's been cut in Japan. So the manga never saw through till the end of the game, and quite frankly, I don't really have a lot of desire to work on something that's been cut halfway.
Tales of Vesperia will be put on hiatus. The reason is that it's been cut in Japan. So the manga never saw through till the end of the game and quite frankly, I don't really have a lot of desire to work on something that's been cut halfway. However, because I love Vesperia, I'm just putting it on hiatus as I decide if I still want to finish it up till where it ended and was cut as I do have the necessary staff and resources to do it. But something better than this Tales of Vesperia manga will be coming your way (which is also another reason I've been considering dropping this Vesperia manga) so I hope that will make up for this much more than anything.
Lastly, I'm considering having an online manga reader for our releases at the site, but I dunno how many people would want it. So, I'd like some input!
Recruitment: I'm looking for a typesetter for Tales of the Abyss, to catch up on typesetting the series. I have quite a lot of scripts, but no one that can do it properly and up to my standard. Please apply if you're interested! You can find the typesetting test at the forums. However, don't be offended if I don't select you. I'm picky when it comes to things like that, and I don't want someone who will end up making a mess of things and I have to fix almost everything that I might as well have typeset it myself.
Well, that's it for now! Stay tuned for releases!

Time for an announcement.
As you probably have noticed, I have completely removed the shoutbox. It was giving me more trouble than it's worth recently with the non-stop flaming, non-stop people asking for stuff, etc and I'm really sick and tired of dealing with it. Not only it wastes my time, it also completely kills my drive and it causes me to completely not feel like working on anything for the group and do something else instead, even when I have something planned. It has also completely destroyed the reason the shoutbox was there in the first place!
To tell you the truth, there were many times I'd wanted to quit from the manga scanlation scene as it was giving me too much unneeded drama, both running my scanlation group and doing public raw scanning. The only thing that has kept me going is my love for the manga I'm scanning/scanlating.
So now, I've decided to replace it with a Twitter account where I will tweet project related updates as a companion to the already existent project status threads at the forums. Hopefully, this will reduce or even completely remove these stupid flaming, questions and demands and I can actually focus on what needs to be done instead of dealing with these minority of jerks which in turn wastes my time and destroys my mood on working on anything.
I should be starting to get some backlogged stuff cleared out and sending out stuff to be worked on in about one or two weeks later. I'm busy with something this week and I need my computer to do video encodes to encode raws for Abyssal Chronicles so that they can complete work on the Tales of Symphonia OVAs (Both Sylvarant and Tethe'alla arcs) and Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~. The ToV movie is their priority right now and I need to do the final encode for the raw version of it by this week/early next week so the encoder can do the final encode for the release whenever they finish timing, translating and editing the script and finish up QC. The movie is 1 hour 50 mins and it will take almost two whole days to encode the raw. I seriously need a faster computer T__T. Though when it's finally released, I hope all the Tales of series fans will check it out! Same with the ToS OVAs of course. They've worked on and finished the Tales of the Abyss anime and I can guarantee the quality of their work as they put a lot of heart and time into it and they do not rush things.
New site design will also be temporarily put on hiatus until I actually have the time to work on it. Nagi, the group's main cleaner suggests quickly getting the last two chapters of Tales of Destiny out so I'll most likely get the work distributed out and work on the group's main project, Tales of Vesperia at the same time. Both cleaning and translation is already done. All that's left is proofread the scripts, send them for typesetting, QC, then release.
As for those that have applied for the proofreading and typesetting tests, I'll be looking at them soon. I hope that you guys will meet my standards.

Recruitment and a Warning
Just a fair warning to you leechers out there that do not contribute anything to the manga scanlation community, no hate posts in the comments page and the shoutbox! We do whatever we want, whenever we want, and posts that tell us to release this, release that will only serve to annoy us and make us delay things further! We do this for free and in our free time and we make no money off doing all these! So you had better learn to shut up and be patient if you don't even want to think about contributing to anything that is related to the manga scanlation community as a whole! We are not paid to do these and you have absolutely no right to tell us what to do or even put a deadline on us!
Also, there are project statuses topics at the group's forums. You do not need to register to the forums to read them. So please just refer there to check the status of things! Another thing to note though, running this group is NOT THE ONLY THING that I do. I also scan raws from certain magazines for the public and I also have other things I want to do plus a real life and a full time job. I don't exactly have all the time in the world. I work on things for my group as much as possible when I have the time to allot to it, which is something that I don't have much of at the current moment.
And oh, I still have a site redesign to do, remember? I'm putting the new site design on indefinite hold. Will continue to use the old site design until I actually have the time to work on the new design.
Okay, onto the recruitment part, which are positions that I currently need the most.
Translators Read this recruitment ad for more information
Typesetters Read this for more information on applying for the Typesetter position
Proofreaders Please download the raws and proofread the script below. Submit the script to eternal@eternalmanga.net when done.
Proofread this script Raws to the chapter
I'm going to be pretty strict and particular about the Typesetter and Proofreader positions. Also, I want people that are able to keep up a good e-mail communication with me to update me if you're busy with real life, status of the work that has been assigned to you, etc, and won't just up and go poof on me without letting me know, be it because of real life, moving on, quitting, etc.
EDIT: I'm temporarily suspending the applications for the Proofreader and Typesetter positions until I can go through the current applications. Applications for the translator position is still open!
